Pay It Forward Project & Happy Heinys helping together in Haiti, June 2010

Happy Heinys Reusable Diapers We connected with a wonderful organization in California called Happy Heinys www.happyheinys.com which specializes in reusable cloth diapers with a fashionable look to them. The extra cool and unique feature is that the diaper can "grow" with the baby as they are fitted with an adjustable waist and varying sized inserts as a "one size pocket diaper". Happy Heinys' humanitarian mission is to provide their products to the less fortunate. We were overjoyed to be the instrument for Happy Heinys to provide help to mothers in Haiti. As the shipment of diapers, kids' clothes, shoes and toys they shipped to us would not make it prior to our departure date Happy Heinys arranged for an overnight FedEx shipment of more than 40 diapers and inserts of all sizes so that we would have something to take with us! We are still working on distributing the remaining donations. We were able to fit several mothers with Happy Heinys diapers. It was wonderful to see the smiles as we demonstrated how to use the diapers. You could see the sense of dignity spread across their faces as they were able to replace the tattered pieces of t-shirts most were using if they had a "diaper" at all. We were also able to share Happy Heinys diapers at several orphanages.
